Happy New Year! I hope that 2015 brings you happiness, love and laughter. And plenty of amazing trips of course!
Now that it’s officially 2015, I’m starting to think about what’s on tap for this year, travel-wise. You might remember this post from earlier in the fall about how my travel calendar for 2015 was completely blank. Welp, I’ve been busy since then trying to line things up.
I still need to fill up the calendar quite a bit, but I do have a few trips on the horizon – so here’s a lil sneak peek into my 2015 travel plans.
A few weeks into the new year I will be heading to San Francisco for work, and then sticking around over the weekend for a girls’ weekend in the city. Shopping, brunching, and dancing are all on the agenda. I’ve done most of the sightseeing that there is to do in San Francisco, so this trip will be all about spending time with girlfriends and enjoying the weekend like a local.
Stay tuned for February travel plans because I’m hoping to get a beach vacation on the calendar. I’m trying to decide on an easy spot to get to from southern California where I can lay by a pool with an umbrella drink for a few days for some much needed R&R. I’d like to go somewhere other than Hawaii, and while Turks & Caicos is on my dream list, it’s tough to get to from SoCal (involves a red-eye flight and a super long layover!). Right now, Belize is the top candidate, so I’ve been checking out hotels on Ambergis Cay, a small island off the coast. Anybody been?
I also just learned that in March, I will be heading to Paris for a week. I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am! I’m traveling there for work but I am hoping to have a few hours each day to wander around the city to soak up the irresistible French culture and stuff myself with crepes, baguettes, and CHEESE. Oh and hang with my best friend, frites.
After Paris, I have a few additional short trips: later in the spring I am heading back to Napa with family for a long weekend. May means another trip to Chicago – and hopefully another stay in the Trump hotel. I am also scheming to get another girls’ weekend on the calendar for a trip to Las Vegas to see…..BRITNEY. Actually, if I need to go by myself, I WILL. NO SHAME.
The second half of the year is still unplanned, but I’m hoping to get another personal trip on the books, possibly in September. If you’re wondering why I haven’t done much planning beyond the spring, it’s because…..we’re getting ANOTHER one of these:
Which brings the household vizsla count to TWO. Yikes. I know I don’t write much about my personal life on this blog, but vizsla puppies are just too freaking cute not to. So while the first few weeks of puppy care means that travel will be tough, it means I will be home more which means more blog posts – YES.
So stay tuned for more of The Belle Voyage in 2015!
