Reversible Bikini for Summer Travel

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you know that one of my favorite tips for packing light is to pack reversible clothing.  I’ve done a few posts featuring reversible clothes that don’t suck, including an entire post on reversible dresses.

The other day, I saw the cutest bikini…and it got that much better when I saw that it was a reversible bikini!  A traveling girl’s dream.

I set out to find more of these reversible bikinis – and it turns out that they’re all over!  Call it a trend, call it just plain logic…but I was so excited to find so many great options.

The best part about a reversible swimsuit?

A one piece reversible swimsuit = 2 swimsuits.

A two piece reversible swimsuit = 4 swimsuits.

Check my math – but yeah.  Double your suits.

Here’s the original reversible bikini that I liked, also pictured above.  Seriously, Tory is a mind-reader these days.

Check out what else I found in the world of reversible bikinis:

Hypersonic reversible bikini: Reverses from a gorgeous purple/pink pattern to the prettiest navy-indigo color that would look amazing with a tan!

Reversible lace-back bandeau: This one reverses from a solid to a pattern – which is probably the best option for mixing and matching – basically four suits in one with the matching reversible bottoms.

For another solid to pattern option, here’s a reversible bikini by Wildfox.  I can’t decide, though, if the solid option makes it look like you’re just wearing your bikini inside-out by accident.  Thoughts?

Here’s a reversible bikini that’s a halter style, which I love.  This one is a pattern / pattern style but both patterns are in the same color family, so that makes packing even easier!

For one-piece suits that are reversible, check out Marysia swimwear.  Pricey, but their suits are so classy and well-made, with gorgeous little details that keep them interesting.

I think this one-piece might be my favorite, and it reverses from black to a beautiful mediterranean blue color.  The scallop detailing is so feminine and pretty, and the silhouette is so classic that you can wear it for years to come.  It just says “I belong on the French Riviera”.

If you’re ore into printed one-pieces, check out this option.  I love the lace-up ties on the back.  Meow!

I’m definitely grabbing one of these (hopefully my original favorite!) for an upcoming summer trip that I will tell you more about soon!
